interesting stats

International Coach
Ten of the Pakistan team bowled in the second innings. Oddly, Australia didn't declare to try and force a much needed win, trailing 1-0 in the last game of the series.

Here's a random one.

Not sure if it's still the FC record, but Glenn Turner scored 83.43% of Worcestershire's total of 169, when he scored 141* against Glamorgan at Swansea in 1977. The remaining batsmen scored 27 and there was one extra.

Would've been interesting to know what is the highest sum of simultaneous batting and bowling rating points anyone has ever achieved. Seems like there is no easy way.
Sobers on 4th January 1967 had 1651 (936+715),
Botham is the next best with 1620 (709+911) on 19th February 1980.

Highest first innings score before losing the test by an innings: 477 by England against India, Chennai 2016.

Shane Warne is the only cricketer to have taken 100 wickets in a single away country.

Pretty sure he's also scored the most Test runs without scoring a century.

Will take a couple of days to get used to the fact that you aren't Jono.

Only 16 players have scored 10 or more hundreds as captain. Was a lot lower than I thought it'd be for some reason.

The latest entrant on this list happened in a women’s T20 match between Mpumalanga U-19s and Easterns U-19s in South Africa.

Teenager Shania-Lee Swart hogged most of the strike, scoring 160 not out from 86 deliveries. Her innings included 18 fours and 12 sixes. On the other hand, her partners couldn’t score a run off the 37 deliveries they faced, with extras accounting for nine runs as Mpumalanga U-19s ended their innings on 169/8.

Swart’s knock was enough to guide her team to victory as the Easterns U-19s could manage only 127/6 in their 20 overs.

the perfect match! to think there are people out there who watched this live. Border score 150 while his team tried to fall apart around him. Then, just to underscore how good it was, goes and scores another 153 to secure a draw after a trifecta of Khans had scored 180.

Well if you look at career averages for that match, Imran had 29 Tests, 979 runs @ 23.87....that's pretty much how I remember his batting so always surprised when people put him batting at # 6 in all-time teams.

Ashwin already has the 4th highest number of 5 wicket hauls in test matches won (20 from 25 matches); just behind Steyn 22 from 44, Warne 27 from 92 and Murali 41 from 54(!!!)

India is starting to sound like late 00's Sri Lanka for me. Sanga, Murali, Jayawardene. Kohli, Ashwin, Pujara. 3 players on each team that matter.
