Why?
Murali was a fine bowler who was good in a lot of conditions, but what would he add to a team that already has 4 all time great bowlers including Warne?
He would never get a bowl in the first innings and if Warne can't spin them out in the second I can't see Murali having an impact either.
Meanwhile, the runs that Sobers provides happens every innings and works out to a good hundred or more runs per game on average. Murali could not save 100 runs per game through his bowling and nor would he get enough wickets to have enough of an impact to be worth picking.
Imran, Sobers and Steyn aren't going to leave too many wickets for the spinners and if they do, Warne can pick them up. If we need variety we can bowl Sobers or Border for a few overs.
