Cover/straight drives are aesthetic but are also safe and therefore easy. Never heard of a half decent batsman who doesn't have a good cover drive while there are good batsman without a strong pull, sweep or square cut shots. Think ability to play those high risk shots sets apart special players.

A cover drive isn't a cover drive if your back knee doesn't touch the pitch.
