From their records, anyone would assume it's Barrington, Compton & May in that order.
Everything I've read from cricket historians and most of their contemporaries would however suggest it's actually the reverse order & in May, Compton & Barrington.
My great uncle still goes on about seeing May in the flesh in the late 50s and how classy a batsman he was.
