His SOS recall to the side in England 2011 was quite possibly the worst selection I've witnessed.

Jeez he was a genuine myth. I reckon he's at the centre of The Indian Wheel of Mediocrity.

loved his fighting 75 alongisde Jadeja against McWarne back at the '99 WC

rescued India from 4-17 to a decent total

Guys did you watch Scarface and Taxi Driver side by side on one screen. With the technologies these days, its possible to watch two movies at same time. I recommend watching these two at the same time. Even if you dont have that option, try two laptops. Put it together side by side and watch the movies. But remember you have to start the movies at the same time. So use both hands. A split of a second will not give the same amount of vibe. Then decide who was the best actor. Robert de Niro or Al ****ing Pacino.

This is just warm up for the real thread in off topic.

Al Pacino vs Robert de Niro

Bowled great under lights at Durban at the inaugural 20/20 WC against South Africa. Pacey and he was swinging it yards. Think that was about it from him.

He began his career as a 70-75 mph swing bowler, played in an ODI series in Pakistan in 2006, played county cricket in England for Leicestershire in 2006-07 and worked on his hip muscles to build pace. In India's tour of England 2007, he was averaging 85 mph and his speed got even better when Pakistan toured India in 2007 for ODI series, he was regularly in 89-91 mph range. He had pace till the first season of IPL, but went downhill after that and got replaced by Sreesanth in the test squad.

Funny how so many of our quicks have stints in the CC and improve, only to regress when they leave. Really throws the whole genetics and diet theory out the window. Just need proper coaching and training.
