One more time. ODI High Scores Draft (XI's sum of high scores cant exceed 600)

Teuton

International Captain
Retro 800 XI
Gordon Greenidge 133
Sunil Gavaskar 103
Zaheer Abbas 123
Peter Kirsten 97
Saleem Malik 102
Imran Khan 102
Ian Healy 56
Kagiso Rabada 19
Ajantha Mendis 21
Dennis Lillee 42
Mike Hendrick 2

I don't think I could have done any better with this team. 11 legitimately good or great players with 5 strike bowlers and a non-horrible tail which is something in this system. Imran, Abbas, Greenidge and Lillee have outstanding Odi records over a long period of time, as do Hendrick, Mendis, Kirsten and Rabada over shorter periods. Gavaskar, Healy and Malik were also top quality players over long careers.

Saeed Ajmal 33
Mohammad Asif 6

I'm pretty pleased with this line up. Contains some of my all time favourite players & would be very hard to beat. No batsmen playing out of position either & the lower order is quite respectable. A bowling lineup of Asif, Harris, Botham, Hazlewood & Ajmal would be a tough prospect for anyone (no need for a 6th bowler). My top 6 isn't too shabby either. Great draft everyone!!

I'll finish with Greg Chappell (138); slightly torn between him and Kallis, but I think Chappell was the better one-day batsman.

Jesse Ryder
Graeme Fowler
Greg Chappell (6)
Graham Yallop
Jos Buttler+
Glenn Maxwell (7)
Lance Klusener (5)
Curtly Ambrose (1)
Derek Underwood (4)
Terry Alderman (3)
Glenn McGrath (2)

A pretty useful top 4, three batsmen at 5-7 any of whom could take the game away from the opposition, and four very miserly bowlers backed up by Klusener, Chappell and Maxwell.

OK full side:

Sachin Tendulkar (6) - 200
Kieran Powell - 83
Andrew Hall (4) - 81
Martin Crowe * - 107
Misbah-ul-Haq - 96
Callum Ferguson - 71
Brad Hogg (5) - 71
Chris Read + - 30
Shane Bond (1) - 31
Nathan Bracken (2) - 21
Geoff Allott (3) - 7

Total: 798

Not happy with that side, made a few too many tactical clangers. Would've been better without the 20 ODI limit but even so I still should've done better.

terrific team only problem is that ****ing tail is one of the worst ever

your number 8 averaged 3.5 from 35 tests with the bat lol.... 1 run more than Chris ****ing Martin...

it is a testament to how ****ing **** the Indian FC bowling must be for him to have scored so many 50+ scores at that level
To be fair, almost all the sides have long tails... probably inevitable based on the criteria.

Either way, RH's side is still the best by the length of the Cook Strait.
