If Gayle decided to make a come back and the Windies selectors werent being dicks about it, he'd walk into the team.
He would be doubtful for even being in the WI team, let alone the overall team ahead of people who you know, have actually played any red ball cricket in the last 3 years.

no he wouldn't. Be real now. In the 2 years since his last test there really hasn't been a world class replacement. Braithwaitte looks good but he hasnt done what Gayle did for so long and probably never will.

Gayle is the last top, top player from the Windies. he'd walk straight into test or ODI sides if there weren't all these issues with the board. Then again, I doubt he wants to these days with all the money he is making on the club circuit.

There hasn't been a world class replacement but then again Chris Gayle was far from a world class Test opener.
