Who is the best left handed batsman in the world currently?

honestbharani

Whatever it takes!!!
And why are there so few of them these days.. ****, longing for the days of Lara, Sanga, Chanders, Gilly, Hayden, Hussey etc..

Its probably between Cook and Warner, right?

Yeah I'd say between Cook and Warner. Cook would probably have the edge there. I don't really consider Sangakkara a current player.

QdK is 23, has 10 ODI 100s and doesn't look bad at all in tests. He will be a beast when he hits his prime.

Interesting that all the specialist batsmen in that lineup throw/bowl right-handed.

Surely the dearth of left handed batting talent isn't so great that Darren Bravo and Usman Khawaja get picked?

Still playing First Class cricket isn't he?
Yes, but obviously not internationals which is why I don't really consider him a "current player". In any case, it's hard to gague his level playing County Cricket and whether he'd still be amongst the best in the world AFAIC.

yeah and half of these **** s are not even attractive to watch, which most lefties are supposed to be...

And its not like they are all being Chanders or Graeme Smith ugly effective either. Any theories on why such a dearth though, all of a sudden? Is it coz of Cook? :p

Look at who's been selected in a lefty XI. Of course he's still better than a spud like Bravo.
