You have to select an entire team through the decades. The process of selection is tricky.
Let's say you decided on England and picked the year 1930. You will get the entire squad of only English players who played inside that year. It does not matter when the player debuted or retired as long as he played in that year for England, you will get him in your squad.
Once we are done with selecting squads, I will run a simulator (statistical based entirely) between your squads and post results here.
If anyone selects AUSTRALIA 1990, then there has to be at least 31 years of gap before or after if anyone else also wants to select AUSTRALIA. This is to avoid two players having a same player in their squads since Wilfred Rhodes had the longest career span of almost 31 years.
Winner will be selected entirely by simulation. The years available are from 1877-2009 to select a squad.
If you are interested, I will do a random number generator for pecking order and which team will play versus which team. If we have 8 players, then I am thinking about 4 matches in ROUND 1, then two matches in ROUND 2 and then the FINAL. A knockout championship otherwise it will take forever to end.
