This tour is just around the corner so I thought I would post an official thread. Not sure how much interest it will receive outside of myself but never mind!

The tour is notable because it includes 2 day/night warm up matches and a Day/Night test match. West Indies have never played FC cricket overseas under lights before so it is going to be a different experience for them. They have trialled pink balls in FC cricket a few years back and the feedback was not overwhelmingly positive.

The West Indian limited overs squads have been announced and they're not too bad for a change. There are only one or two head-scratchers which with our lot can be deemed an overwhelming success.

T20 Squad:

- Chris Gayle has told them he is unavailable. I'm not quite sure why but he was struggling with his back recently.
- They've called up Nicholas Pooran, Rovman Powell and Alzarri Joseph, the 3 best young talents of the last CPL. They all deserve their call-up.
- Chadwick Walton gets a call up after solid returns opening the batting for Jamaica.
- Overall I'd say it's an extremely strong squad with an excellent chance of winning.

ODI Squad:

- Kraigg Braithwaite gets a long overdue ODI call up after consistently dominating domestic List A tournaments.
- Evin Lewis gets a call up after strong domestic performances and that T20 ton against India.
- Alzarri Joseph gets a chance in this format too.
- I'm still trying to work out how Ashley Nurse keeps getting picked for international matches. If Narine gets injured our 2nd spin option is extremely weak which isn't good in the UAE!
- This is an okish squad that should be competitive but I think will probably lose.

Beamer's put so much effort behind this; someone sticky it plz.

Yea I think Pak's gonna stomp all over WI in the Tests and vice versa for the Limited Overs stuff.

I actually hope they retain the new Gary Sobers for the Tests. Want to see how he goes.
