Cricketer Of The Year
Be quite an unlikely rise to fame, after living a slacker bogan lifestyle that even Blocky was pretty open in his contempt for.

A nice upgrade to the video scorecards this year, by the looks. Still no audio, but the option to watch any batsman's boundary or dismissal within a minute or two of it happening is going to be more frequently available.

Yeah no visible improvement to Gibson's foot alignment or lazy leading arm over the winter, but making inroads all the same.

Come on ND, Cribbage told you Kelly can't bowl for toffee. We've already put up with enough crimes against left-arm orthodox from ND this week.

Just the 118 runs conceded by Wellington before lunch, after bowling first on a green seamer. Jeets relying on drift and the complete absence of any turn to take Guptill-Bunce and O'Donnell out of the play.

jeet raval's dismissal looks ugly, not that the brightness makes it easy to see

not sure why CD hired mccone and mathieson is looking to be as good of an investment as mitch mcclenaghan atm

canterbury's batting is pretty thin looking. they need ellis h4x here.

Time for the domestic captains to just give Rutherford that single to a cover boundary man, you'd think. You can't just keep letting a guy score quickfire FC hundreds in the same way with the same shots like he is.

International Captain
Nothing to write home about by the looks of it.

Run-a-ball centuries for Rutherford and Astle. 37 year old Brent Arnel running through Auckland.

look at all the glorious engine room runs from astle, hutchinson, johnston and jamieson

piss off otago you're doing it wrong.

also notable matt taylor is listed to bat at #8 but his mediums weren't given a bowl. What's the point?

Not Terrible
Wellington have a kind of decent line up. Good to see all these young home grown talents like Arnel, Bennett, Marshall and Papps elevate the team for years to come.

Ferguson is probably the cricketer with the most test match potential to come out of Auckland in a while. Faint praise but...

Bowling fast for more than two overs was his main obstacle and 8 overs for 11 runs comes across as a guy who can sustain things more than he used to.

Itbt his new ball spell to Woodcock was just a pile of junk well wide of off, last evening.

What sort of speeds does this Ferguson chap get it through at? His run-up and action is not unlike Mark Gillespie's from that front-on view.
