You completely changed my order.... I don't mind but Bedser should bat higher than Shoaib

anil1405's side is awesome, although I wonder if the fact he's no playing any real spinner (unless you want to count Sanjay Raul) may cost him.

Personally would have played Hirwani along with Lillee, Waqar & Procter & had Bond carrying the drinks given that XI...Either that or sacrificed some batting & move everyone else up the order and have Raul as 12th man.

Will vote shortly....

Remember I have Bob Simpson in my team.

I thought of having Narendra Hirwani too but later realized that with a pace attack of Lille-Procter-Waqar-Bond, my bowling could demolish teams in any conditions without the help of a spinner.

As much as I like leg spinners, there is no sight better in world cricket than watching a batsman dance to the FAST bowlers tunes.

Anil seems to have an awesome bowling line up but perhaps there are not enough overs to get out of his top flight bowlers. Every second match he will be without Bond. He has perhaps 130* overs to get the job done each game, whereas I have well over 160* without even bringing on the best change bowler ever - Grace.

But....... Anil has Knott to help those bowlers do their job. oh yeah, and Bradman.

* average overs per game bowlers have bowled in career

A slow turning dunger could spell trouble for that bowling attack though

Now that we have picked 12 players, I guess flexibility factor should also be taken into account wherein I can bring in Hirwani for Bond on slow pitches.

Nah... veto that. I`m already in enough trouble with my team without having to bring in Tiwary....

Not sure if thats true. As a bowling unit they might have achieved considerable success on slow pitches too.

Lillee did not have enough support in Asian conditions in the few tests he played and neither had Bond. Waqar was the only one with considerable success as he was used to the conditions plus he had Wasim as his partner in crime.

As a bowling unit Lillee-Procter-Waqar-Bond would rip through batting attacks even on not so friendly conditions.

It's very difficult to vote quickly in this. Given different sides etc. for each person.
I found this draft great fun, albeit frustrating at times, thanks Red Hill and VI

I htink my opening pair of McGrath and Imran is irresistable. Mid innings, Botham and Warne destroy all before them. In case leg spin aint working I have no less than Titmus, for some offies. Grace is my part timer, who it must be remembered was for a period of about 10 years the leading first class wicket taker without peer. When the track is looking Green, I can always sub in Sreesanth for the trolls.

My batting runs deep with Titmus probably a better bat than Warne. I just have Warne at 9 because his ego might not handle 10.

I have a player for every occasion, every surface, every era. And then there is that thing about the names.

Agent Toby is getting a unanticipated (for me) amount of love. A restudy reveals he has the bowling Bradman, and an amazing mid order. I erroneously thought Watson's team would get a lot of that 3rd love with his amazing bowling line up, but what do I know?

Cheers Watson. Thank you for putting my name up in lights.

Thankyou to everyone else for losing. Thankyou to the great die in the sky for my draw.

Yeah weldone VI, also thanks to you and Red (I think it was) for running the draft. I really enjoyed searching through (mostly Indian) domestic sides.
