Background info:

Zimbabwean fast bowler. Back when he was a kid (2007ish) he was regarded as possibly the fastest youth bowler in the world. He's never really committed to professional cricket - he's played seven games in the last eight years - but now he's randomly back playing for Zimbabwe A despite not really having done anything at all to earn that selection, or even really played consistently ever. He must still let them go if he's been picked.

This is why Zimbabwean cricket is awesome to follow. You just never know what's coming next.

Cook leads South Africa A from the front

Shingi Masakadza found a bit of swing, while Victor Nyauchi has gained in pace since last season – he generally attacked the stumps at speed, keeping the ball well up to the batsmen, perhaps rather too much, as the batsmen were able to drive quite freely. Gerald Aliseni did not show quite the great pace that was hoped from him, and was rather expensive.
Amusing how Zimbabwe Cricket are prone to telling much harsher truths and tend to indulge in less spin-doctoring in the tone of their game reports than say blackcaps.co.nz.
