Greatest Limited Overs All-rounder of all time, tournament/voting thread

Well weldone has extended the two closest matches from 1 vote to 2 vote margins.

Couple that with the fact it's been over 12 hours since the last vote, I think it's high time we move onto Round 2!

Again I randomised the matches and will do again next round

Round 2:

Jacob Oram vs Imran Khan
Carl Hooper vs Andrew Flintoff
Shakib Al-Hasan vs Shane Watson
Andrew Symonds vs Jacques Kallis

Chris Harris vs Heath Streak
Lance Klusener vs Sanath Jayasuriya
Greg Chappell vs Viv Richards
Kapil Dev vs Abdul Razzaq

Klusener v Sanath the hardest one here IMO. Not much separating Viv and Chappell as ARs either.

Yeah Viv and Chappell's bowling ability and stats being quite similar make it hard. It basically comes down to their batting

Well Sanath has the longevity... but Klusener wins the averages race comfortably.

I always find it really hard to rate top order batsman who bowl offies(even if its not 'part-time' and they usually get 10 overs a game) like Sanath and Carl Hooper as genuine, quality all-rounders. They don't feel like attacking off-spinners, just containers. God knows how Sanath got that many wickets

Any discussion on Sanath's bowling reminds me of 1996 World Cup semifinal at Eden Gardens, and that makes me sad.

Toughest one for me this round was Symonds v Kallis. I'd rate Kallis' batting & bowling better overall, however, Symonds was a much more aggressive batsman & one of the greatest fielders (infield & outfield) I have seen, & so decided to vote for Symonds.

Even when suffering from hangovers, Symonds was the man for the job.

Symonds was just not that effective as a bowler to be considered even close to kallis as an all-rounder. Hard to pick one solely as batsman either imo considering the dependable longevity of kallis.
