I thought Yuvraj's comment that a palyer should atleast be in the team before making these comments was superb :cool2: .]

And i think that's the only thing that was stupid in Yuvraj's statement. You don't have to be in a team to give ur opinion's on others, aleady more than two dozen ex-cricketers have expressed their views.

What Rashid said is had to deny,Indians have been undeachieves ,however what Rashid forgets is that Pakistan too have been under achievers, thus his citicism on Indians alone seems very odd.

In my opinion I think that if he has a good day then he can be disastrous for the batsmen, he always seems to show up in the second innings to save pakistan for instance against New Zealand. He's due a good performance.
Given that he recently somehow managed to end-up with a five-for next to his name, he's not due anything good for a long while at the moment!

An ideal option is to attack Akhtar and Sami right from the first over, then go easy on the other bowlers.
They try to attack Akhtar when he's bowling well and they'll pay for it - simple as, regardless of who they are.
The rest are less threatening (unless Shabbir plays) - bat well with Sami, Malik and the like bowling at you, you'll get big runs and quickly.

I agree with you on it, bar Akhter the bowling atack is very ordinary.

The best way to handle Akhter is to attack him and destroy his confidence, i think Indian batsmen will repeat the '03 WC game and after that Akhter won't be the same bowler any more.

The thing is, in the WC2003 game, Akhtar, like he did for much of the tournament, and like Wasim, Waqar and the rest in that game, bowled very poorly.
If he bowls like he's been bowling for most of the past 6 months, he'll be an entirely different kettle of fish.

It's ridiculous, all this flame-throwing between players.

Its about as childish as some of the arguments i've seen between Indian & Pakistani supporters on the bbc messageboards!
Oh and Fleming's 5 minute on field flaming with Graeme Smith is perfectly acceptable. Mature captaincy there

As far as I'm concerned its making the series that much more exciting. The build up is absolutely brilliant, and its better to keep the talking off the field and the cricket on the field. Smith and Fleming could take some advice from that.
