The South African semi and the final were both live on Prime. Also a few people might have only watched the first over.

I remember reading somewhere that TV ratings are adjusted and counted in such a way as to not count people who are just flicking through the channels trying to see what's on. They average how many people are tuned in at every minute of the entire show/event. So in reality if the ratings say 2 million people, it is likely that more than 2 million unique eyes saw some part of the event.

The Canberra Comets in the kiwi comp would be a massive opportunity and it would prepare them for
1 Big Bash
2 first class cricket
3 Mettador cup, especially since they should have been their in the first place rather than an academy side.

Why would nzc want to develop an Australian domestic team?

No point in having NZ teams in Aussie domestic structure, it will cause problems due to language differences, cultural differences, hang ups about under arm bowling and playing on u/14's sized grounds. NZ's domestic comp obviously serves NZ very well and Australian domestic comp is strong and does well. No need to introduce matches that will only deplete resources and drain the comp financially. Its been tried before and its a fail.
