Disappointed I wasn't online for Hooper. I would've pushed his price to 50,000 at least. Statistically poor but one of the best batsmen I've ever watched. Better than handy spinner and elite fieldsman as well.

I know.. to think Jayasuriya went for thrice the price. I put them roughly at the same level as far as Test Cricket is concerned. So.. very happy

Yep, so would I. Sanath & Carl were very similar cricketers. Nobody in my opinion was better than Hooper when it came to murdering spinners, best player of a straight drive six I've seen. A full blooded cut shot played by Mr Jayasuriya on the other hand was also a sight to behold. I'd rank his cut shot equal equal to that of Gilchrist, Mark Waugh, Lara & Saeed Anwar in regards to players I've seen.
