Debuts & Retirements draft

if the line is what I think you're referring too.. I can jump onto it by round 3 so maybe he thought there's no point tailing me

I see 2-3 but lines which match what you described. It's heavily dependant on draft order though and if you don't get there before someone else you're stuck with terrible players. Didn't want to risk it. (although that could happen here too)

Are we all talking about the same line? I saw a line of 4 ATG batsmen followed by great player, with the potential to lead to one more modern great batsman. And going by the picks of the previous round, OS would have made it first.

I think I can see who Mr is targeting. If I'm correct, that would be the 2nd batsman of the infamous golden line

I'm pretty sure I know which batsmen you mean, but I thought it might have left me short on bowlers. Mightve been a stupid move, let's see. :p

the problem with this is that you reach the 2000s with like... 7 players because you're choosing so many ATG batsmen with 20 year careers so you then you have to start again from the beginning of cricket with just scraps left to choose from

decisions decisons

Who cares what spuds your left with when you have that many great batsmen? I could daft myself in with my slow arm lobs opening the bowling and the team would still be a success.

Others have obviously looked into this more than me!

Mr mister has this won. Will pick in a bit.
Not necessarily, there are still plenty of greats out there who aren't linked into this golden line that he's on.

He'll also have to be careful not to get too far into modern times too early either.

But yeah, he's looking really good at the moment.
