I clicked the link on the "players" section of one of the articles regarding Morkel on cricinfo to see his profile. It came up with Albert Morkel, who was also a ;left handed batsman and right arm medium fast bowler. He has also only played one one day international and no tests.
But no, I am not an idiot. I did not bring this to your attention because of a difference in name, which could obviously be a nickname. Albert was born in 1950! He also got 3 n.o. is his match, and took 1/26 off 7 overs. This cannot be the same player. Cricinfo have made a very wierd error.
Either they have simply provided teh wrong link, or ALbie isnt in their records.
