Most runs in all forms of the game for a calendar year?

If my maths is correct Williamson currently has 2930 runs in all forms of the game (tests, odi and t20). Is this the most in a calendar year?

Maybe they are doing a rolling year? I'm pretty sure the cricinfo numbers aren't that off.

Just ran the numbers on statsguru and Williamson only has 2206 runs so I don't know how they got 2860. Doesn't make any sense.

I'm fairly sure it's the difference between "a calendar year" and "the past 12 months".

Kane has 2200+ in 2015 (01/01/15-15/11/15), but has 2900+ in the past 12 months (15/11/14-15/11/15)

Except the article says:

"Williamson could lay claim to being the world's best batsman after his Gabba haul helped him amass 2860 runs in a calendar year across all formats at an average of 62.17."

It must be a mistake. The article also says, "statistically, Williamson has outscored Don Bradman as a test No 3 at the age of 25 thanks to an unprecedented 12-month run spree."

Williamson still has around 9 or 10 innings to play this year so he will almost certainly climb to the top 10 before the year is out. Top 5 is likely too and #1 is not out of the question.

Between 15th November 2014 and 15th November 2015 Williamson has 3000 runs over all 3 formats. Batting records | Combined Test, ODI and T20I records | Cricinfo Statsguru | ESPN Cricinfo

He has 2302 runs between 1st January 2015 and 15th November 2015. Batting records | Combined Test, ODI and T20I records | Cricinfo Statsguru | ESPN Cricinfo

The article was written on November 10th 2015, and Williamson has 2834 runs between 10th November 2014 and 10th November 2015. Batting records | Combined Test, ODI and T20I records | Cricinfo Statsguru | ESPN Cricinfo

So the article is probably wrong.
