Cricketweb decides the best fielder ever

I'm actually amazed no-one's nominated Michael Clarke yet. He was an incredible fielder in his younger days.

Ponting
ABdV
Symonds
Clarke
Herschelle Gibbs
James Anderson (reckon he's the best fielder out of any fast bowler I've seen)
Flintoff (brilliant at slip, rocket arm from the outfield)
Guptill

Will have a think about the other 2.
Do you really think think that James Anderson is a better fielder than Chris Jordan and Boult/Southee?

i don't think people will agree with me and they can all go suck it. Facts are Symonds was the most best amazing best superman greatest awesome bradman-level-better fielder ever. When he played, I was waiting for the Australia Batting to get out, not to watch them bowl but to watch Symonds field.

The normal awards that everyone else has
Ones I've seen (this'll be a bit Australia centric)-

Best slips: Taylor, Mark Waugh, Ponting

Inner ring fielders: Symonds, Viv Richards, Ponting, Rhodes, Clive Lloyd, Harper, early Clarke, early Allan Border

Overall, Mark Waugh in the slips and Symonds in the inner ring.

Was going to mention Penney. Terrific fielder. Deserves to be in the mix here, even though he didn't (really) play internationals. His fielding was definitely world class, and no surprise that he became a fielding coach.

Considering the fact that Mahanama was a better fielder than Dilshan, it wouldn't make sense that Dilshan gets picked and not Mahanama.
