I have a feeling Trumper would have taken way more votes off Hobbs than Waugh ever could. Two ancient romanticised figures, Waugh can't really compete with that

It also seems fairly clear from the discussion in this topic that the winner of Viv/Grace cruises past the winner of Hutton/Ponting. Perhaps I should have seeded Grace higher

Score update:

Sobers leads 13-4
Headley leads 12-5

Tendulkar leads 12-5
Lara leads 15-2

Hobbs leads 17-0
Gavaskar leads 11-6

WG Grace tying with Viv Richards 8-8 (One user has not decided his vote in this match yet)
Hutton leads 14-3

Yep that's fine. So Waugh beats Trumper, officially the first upset of the tournament going by my seedings. I'll properly update the bracket later tonight for neatness purposes, add the scores into it etc. But for now, here's round 2! Start voting. This round will be 36-48 hours, depending on how quiet the second day of voting is.

The normal awards that everyone else has
Choosing Walcott over Headley while choosing Barry over Weekes is interesting. The only reason I can see for that is you rate Barry's skills against quality pace bowling more highly than you do Headley's.
Both are so close in my mind.

I legit think that Barry Richards sits with Sobers, Viv and Tendulkar on a tier above all others (obv bar Bradman). I think Weekes is underrated, but the anecdotal reports of how epic Barry Richards was are un-ignorable.

I don't know as much about Headley as I do others. But I rate Walcott really highly as a batsman...

Weekes and Walcott were minnow and home track bullies imo. But at least in Walcotts case, he had a epic home series vs an excellent Oz attack
