No debut for you XI soupnazi.jpg

1 Ryan Carters
2 Cameron Bancroft
3 Michael Klinger c
4 Peter Handscomb
5 Jordan Silk
6 Travis Head
7 Chris Hartley+
8 Adam Zampa
9 Chadd Sayers
10 Jason Behrendorff
11 Andrew Fekete

Sam Whiteman was very close to selection. Nearly went for him over Head as a specialist bat at 6.
Zampa is the least deserving but I guess his batting and 'potential' puts him ahead of um.. Holland, I guess?
I might not have picked Fekete if not for Test squad selection.

Haw I missed anyone obvious? Ludes unlucky too!

Fawad probably, although I suspect that will be remedied in Bangladesh at the expense of O'Keefe who would be a Hall of Legends member of that list.

May not have been obvious from the post you quoted but it was excluding anyone who has played an International in Tests, ODIs or T20

Cool. Dermo or Ajdude to be excited if Cartwright makes the cut.

BTW, I mentioned on the previous page that Hopes or Hartley would take over with Usman away with the Aussie squad. Turns out the captaincy is out of Chris Lynn, Peter Forrest and Chris Hartley.

Lynn made 209 from 137 balls last week in Grade Cricket - The bowling attack he faced was decent too - Hopes, Hauritz and Gale played.

Hopefully he can stay fit. Has a shot at the test team if he can.

Yeah he does have a shot although he doesn't really get talked about for Tests as much as he should.

It is interesting to see how the pecking order is for Burns+Khawaja+Lynn in the 3 formats.

In Tests, selectors view Lynn as currently third and probably third in ODIs too but he is the only one to play a T20I.

For the records I would go:

Tests: Burns, Lynn, Khawaja
ODIs: Khawaja with Lynn and Burns tied.
T20: Lynn, Burns, Khawaja

So that is
Burns 6.5
Lynn 6.5
Khawaja 5

Faulkner and Bailey should be available for the whole tournament. Silk will be a blow, but it almost certainly gives Jake Doran an opportunity now.

Tigers team is looking okay to me:
1 Paine 2 Dunk 3 Doolan 4 Bailey 5 Doran 6 Faulkner 7 Evans 8 Gulbis 9 Doherty 10 Hilfenhaus 11 Bird

Rainbird and Kingston are good options if any of the quicks are unavailable and you'd expect Dom MIchael or Ben McDermott are backups with the bat.

Good looking squad Nufan:),,Evans at 7 interesting,he can bat up the order and is a useful bowler in grade.I'd expected him to stay in NSW or try to qualify for England, good to see him having a shot.Another option which i expect is Rose at 8 he is more than a useful batsmen, his only opposition is Luke Doran since Tassie turned its back on Allenby and Simmons.

Uzzi made a double ton today against Toombul. Boyce the only bowler of international repute in the lineup though.

At a guess they see his clean ball striking as an attribute for shorter formats. He seems to be able to control it and play a FC tempo when needed though. If he can take the step up those skills would be invaluable to the current team.

My WA Matador Cup side:

1. Harris 2. Klinger 3. Whiteman 4. Turner 5. Wells 6. Bosisto 7. Agar 8. Rimmington 9. Tye 10. Paris 11. Behrendorff

- Voges, Bancroft and Marshx2 are going to be away playing for Australia
- I'm assuming MitchJohnson is being rested for this and NCN out too. Suddenly Wells looks like a real smart signing.
- I'm giving Turner the responsibility to step up to number 4.
- Bosisto's spot the most debatable (ahead of Tye's) no idea how he's started the year in any trials.
