Head merely following the modern cricketer path toward domination, scores FC 50's to prove he can play then scores first OD double before first FC ton for the chix. All he needs now is a skinful and a shiner, and a good woman to put him on the straight and narrow and a Test cap.

It's why I should be in his circle, Aussie cricket stands to benefit from good Head.

I wouldn't be so sure SACA can ink in a win against anyone even CAXI Gnske . They've bowled pretty handily from what little I've seen so far.
you were saying

edit: I can just imagine Warnie commentating on Head if he plays for Aus . . . aw ****

Does anyone else think that Victoria at $1.33 is really easy money for them to be leading after 15 overs versus CA XI tomorrow? CAXI should do a bit better but they'll be doing well to reach 60 while I can't see Victoria being anything under 75.

Like, on what planet does a bloke with T20i caps miss out not only on playing for his state team (fair call given the spin talent in VIC and Muirhead's patchy form), but a ****ing specialist development XI.
Haven't seen him this year, but figures weren't good on the weekend...

Could pay for a ticket to a match with my winnings. Next minute, Stoinis and White are rusty and Vic's finish the 15 overs 1/43 chasing CA XI's small total of 125 (3/50 from 15).

Yeah I get that he has the tendency to bowl a lot of **** for a guy of his talent, but given that the squad is apparently all about fast-tracking exciting talents to develop them, I'm not sure that his Vic grade form should count against him.

If it was a best-performed unselected players XI then yeah, sure, he doesn't make it on recent form. But a glorified U/23 development squad of bright-but-raw talents?

Nah, he's more like "keep him away from top class cricketers for his own good" when he's not right.

Like his style :)

CA XI coach Troy Cooley said he felt the problem was more a mental one than a skills-based one following the heavy defeat.

"These kids are a lot better than that," Cooley said. "They know they're a lot better than that.

"They've just got to come back mentally to be ready to come against another strong team on Wednesday.

"Of course you want to be able to be strong and you want to be able chase down or at least look like you're going to chase down a target.

"I think they've got some things that they need to go away and work on and I think that's just mentally. Skilfully, I think they're good enough to do it.

At 3/29 off 12 overs,I am suddenly becoming cynical about this concept.
Maybe after the 2 years program we can bring the Comets back.
