yes i think it was tough for him because as a Sri Lankan, he didn't get the same level of respect that a foreign coach would have done from some of the players and officials..i wanted him to get the job but guess it just was too big a step for him at this stage..the search starts again for SLC

He coached Singapore for a while and from what I heard he was a very passive coach. Gave lots of responsibilities to the senior players and made them take charge instead.
