The criteria for this thread is to name the best team for players who played 100 test, but also for who was playing best at the time of their 100th test. (their form perhaps 20 test either side of 100 or thereabouts for the ones who only just made it past 100)
For mine....
Hayden
Langer - I just don't know of any 100 plus openers from elsewhere. Perhaps G Smith in instead of Haydos, because Hayden was not so good at the end (I think)
Ponting - Just a guess, but I feel test 100 might have been in his bradman patch
Tendulkar - Didn't he average the most around the middle of his career?
S Waugh - He started ugly, ended ugly so must have been pretty good in the middle
Healy - would have been Gilly if he had just played one more test - maybe not - Gilly was terrible at the end of his career.
Border - Must have been pretty good at test 100. Just guessing really - No idea.
Murali - just got better and better - Warne might have been in his crappy years at test 100 - not sure
Mc Grath - good all through his career
Akram - Can't say if he was good at the end - I hope so.
Warne - got in because I can't think of another 100+ bowler.
