Indian Tour to Pakistan Approved

After all the controversy, after all the conflicting emotions and after the all the drama, the Indian Government alongside the BCCI have offically given approval for the Indian tour to Pakistan to go ahead as planned.

In what can be a sign of goodwill between the two nations, the Indian's will offically play their first game against Pakistan somewhere around the date of March 11. It is now upto the BCCI to talk with the Indian Squad and evaluate and encourage their players to play in an historic tour.

Originally, there were rumours that the Pakistan-India series would be postponed due to upcoming elections in India. But Indian Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee has laid those rumours to rest, insisting that sport and politics do not mix.

The news was met with joy and relief from the Pakistan Cricket Board. "We welcome the very positive decision of the Indian Prime Minister," said Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Shaharyar Khan.

As well as the PCB, both sets of fans from different sides of the border are overwhelmed with joy. As this upcoming series promises to be one of the most exciting and explosive test series in the history of test match cricket.

The sight of Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman up against Shoaib Akhtar, Mohammad Sami and Saqlain Mushtaq would no doubt be a sight for many sore eyes. Cricket lovers can rejoice, as cricket is the ultimate winner.
