2006 IIRC

Yup. Shoaib Malik with a ridiculous unbeaten knock in the first to save the Test and then Asif ran through the whole nation of Sri Lanka for 60-odd runs to win the second.

Am I reading this right? Younis first ever to make 5 100s in the 4th inning? Why does that seem wrong to me?

Because half a dozen players have 40 odd tons now and it seems weird that none of them managed more than 10% of their hundreds in the 4th match innings.

Pakistan actually trying to develop a spine? Now this is interesting. Last I checked it was 13/2.

This thread is lacking gambhiring since then .........(must oblige AZH)

this yasir shah bloke must have come close to fastest ever to 50 test wickets right?
I don't think so...some pre-World War I bowlers like Barnes and Lohmann were much faster to the first 50 I think...In the modern era also, there should be some names ahead of Yasir, including Ajantha Mendis, Vernon Philander etc.

Ok got the list...Ashwin and MacGill were 2 modern-day spinners who did it in same number of test matches as Yasir

Misbah was brought in lots of times before he was 'brought in too late' though.

If anything he was picked too early. Only became a good Test player aged 36
