best thing about mustafiz is that he actually uses his brain unlike rbx for example. it's just that he uses cutters very effectively. bowls stumps to stumps. from his 120 deliveries that he bowled, there were hardly any bad deliveries. there was only one i can recall that he pitched short onto the leg side and rohit hit him for six. generally he bowls 133 kph range and his fastest clocked at 137 kph. he can move the ball away from RHs after pitching it or the angle that takes it away but does not have those inswingers to RHs yet. Thats why i think when he bowls to LHs, he uses mostly cutters or bowls within stumps. to me, he becomes more lethal when ball gets a bit old. simply destroyed in both his second spells of two matches. the ball he got Jadeja bowled, that reverse swung probably. from the indian batsmen, i think kohli played him best in the 2nd match. he came down the track and hit him off his legs. batsmen have to regularly use their feet in order to play him effectively. if someone pushes the bat forward like rohit in 1st match or dhoni in 2nd match, the ball loops in the air or gets an outside edge as in case for ashwin.

Sounds like Mustafitz, Rubel and Mortaza will be a handy limited overs quick attack.

Sounds like a Vaas clone. He had some fun in ODIs vs India back in the day.

Why most people are blaming Rayudu! How can you expect a player to perform good, by selecting him once in ten matches. He still has over 40 averages, not solely based on not outs. And, look how he contributes for MI.
Any fool can play forward, but it is only the good player who can score off forceful back strokes.

You're right, we shouldn't blame Rayudu. It's not really his fault he's not good enough.

He's not wrong though. Rayudu isn't a great batsman, but the problem is Rahane hasn't really done as well as he should've so far. I actually think Rayudu is better than Rahane in ODIs at the moment. Doesn't mean Rahane should've been dropped anyway, that was stupid.

I love Rahane. He's an excellent test player for all conditions but in odis, he often struggles to get going. He finds it hard to rotate the strike and often gets out playing silly no-value shots. Having said that, I'd give him time to settle into a fixed role, rather than constantly moving him up and down the order.

And smalishah's avatar is the most classy one by far Jan certainly echoes the sentiments of CW

Yeah we don't crap in the first world; most of us would actually have no idea what that was emanating from Ajmal's backside. Why isn't it roses and rainbows like what happens here? PEWS's retort to Ganeshran on Daemon's picture depicting Ajmal's excreta

Anyone been betting in this series, there has been generous odds; I managed to get Mustafizur Man of the Match in 2nd ODI at odds of 26, even after the carnage he created in the first ODI. For this last ODI odds gone down to 19 but still generous given what he has done in the last two games, and no indication Indian batsmen have worked him out. Also got BD for the win at 3.2 too. In fact I've been betting on BD to win on each ODI from the Pakistan series and India series, only had a small amount on each bet though, If only I had treated it like an accumulator and bet all the winnings on each successive bet, would've had a tidy sum by now. Might do that for the SA series, if BD can Banglawash traditional subcontinent powerhouses, why not SA (could choke them spin ....might be getting too ahead of myself.
