My School Yard Cricket

Paid The Umpire

All Time Legend
This just a place for me to think about my high school cricket game.

Equipment:
Players- Up to 6 (1 bat, 4 field, 1 bowl)
Bat- Block of wood or Small bat (30cm long)
Ball- Tennis Ball
Stumps- A block of limestone (30cm high) or a stool.
Pitch- The pitch was only about 6 meters long, so we were only allowed to bowl spin.
When- Before school for 20min, recess for 15 min and lunch for 35min.
Running- There was no running between the wickets as there was no second batsman, or second set of stumps.

Scoring:
Four- The back wall, on the bounce.
Six- The back wall, on the full.
Six'n'Out and Four'n'Out- Over the back fence on the bounce or full.
Murcs- Loosely based on the Mer****ile Sign in Australian state onedayers. These were through a fork in a tree and through an open door, and worth TEN runs.

Getting out (very easy):
Caught- Both 1H1B and on the full.
Bowled- Have a guess.
Stumped- If ya danced.
Hit Wicket- Can be done.
Over The Fence- Hit over the fence and your out!

Scores you get:
High score- 300+ (against me, and only me).
Ducks- Often (but only for me).
My high score- 125 (I only got two centuries in over 2 years of playing).

Have you got any questions?
