How can Harrison rush Moores from WI to match in Ireland knowing he's going to sack him the day after while he's still with his team #****

A few years ago, you knew Oz cricket was in real trouble because every man and his dog at CA (e.g. Sutherland & Howard) was being quoted in the media with their thoughts on the team

Now that things are going ok, they are rarely heard from and the world is a better place for it

The ECB is Oz of a few years ago and nothing short of a complete rabble

The ECB are such a ****ing disgrace though. Apparently they'd planned that he would be sacked by Tuesday, but neither him nor any players knew as he travelled from Barbados to Dublin and did the ODI. Also heard they hadn't planned to announce it this early but had to because of the leak.
Harrison (CEO) was in Dublin on a jolly and had to put down his pint to tell the players that the coach had been sacked during a rain delay

Furthermore, Vaughan withdrew his interest in the Director of Cricket role because he had been told a week before that Moores was being retained

Whatever Moores lacked as a coach, tonight he stands head and shoulders above the cretins at the ECB. It's been a prolific week for resignations in the UK and these nitwits, and Graves in particular, should follow their example.

Whatever it takes!!!
Kinda stupid how Moores repeatedly says that he has brought in new talent and developed them etc etc... It is almost as if these players were nothing before he took them under him... Not the kinda guy you would want as the coach of a senior side IMO.. But then again, the way ECB has messed up these announcements, its not surprising that he has gone into ultra-defensive mode.

I have a feeling he withdrew because they gave him the nodd that it was going to be Strauss.

Strauss can prove he's his own man by moving Andy Flower on #cricket

probably fair. Moores was an easy kill

Moores seems like a decent guy and feel for him in the way its been done, but ultimately I do think its the right decision as the results speak for themselves..

Why is Langer in contention? Bloke was a joke in his role with Australia and he's a creepy weirdo.

Well good old Mr Graves. The sacking of Moores was "handled properly". It was "leaked", but "certainly not by the ECB".
Who apart from members of the ECB would have known about it in order to leak it.

Graves will start his role with the ECB on Thursday and there has been speculation that he is keen to appoint Yorkshire's title-winning coach Jason Gillespie to replace Moores.
But Graves said the decision was not his to make. "It is Andrew Strauss who takes that call as he builds his team around him," Graves told The Times.
Umm, what?

"Alastair, you're the captain. It's your team to lead. Oh by the way you report to Andrew, just like you did 2 years ago when he was captain and you weren't."
