You're still banging this drum?

Look at his home series figures and then try and get an argument out of it.

Hoggard is best when it swings. I wasn't aware SL did too much..

"brilliant most of the time in ODIs, brilliant on his day in Tests, horrible off his day in Tests".
He's yet to consistently perform well against the better nations in ODIs to be honest, and his overall record is not what I would call brilliant "most of the time"

Economy-rate under 4.2-an-over, when regularly bowling at the "death", 'keeper very rarely stands up to his bowling.
Name me the others with better records (Neil - ...), and let's see how many have these disadvantages.
Not to mention most of the wickets he plays on don't offer any seam-movement.
However, no disputing that his recent record against Australia and South Africa (can't comment on his long-term record, haven't looked @ it) isn't anywhere near as good as it should be.
Like Warne against India, maybe going to pieces when it matters most, eh?

If anything, he's the opposite.
Hoggard is use only when there is seam and swing (and even then not always) - Chaminda, somehow, manages often to go to pieces when it does seam and bowl his best when it doesn't.
Very odd and a crying shame, as it's not as if he can't bowl seam, and it's so much easier than cutters.

I wonder if Australia are tempted to play five bowlers? I dont knowi if they will, but the temptation might be there as McGrath doesnt look like going there.

Sri lanka will win the ODI 3-2

jayasuria will sore one hundred that will be enough to win one game for sri lanka. Murali should have one good game that ,makes it 2. and some one from all others will have one good game so they might win that also

since the matches are played in srilanka and australia wil be most probably playing only three good bowlers i think australia will struggle.

i dont know all about the fixtures if there are D/N game then the team bating first will have 85% of winning.

so for me its 3-2 to sri lanka

Erm, don't forget that Australia have some very good players of their own who are also just as likely to turn in a match winning performance.

Did Damien Martyn get dropped because I seen him playing for WA against QLD in the Pura Cup today......

A bit hard for him to do considering he left for Sri Lanka on Friday as part of the One Day squad. And if you look at the Cricinfo live scorecard for Qld v W.A. you wil find that Martyn isn't in the team.

mate your eyes are screwing you. hes over in sri lanka mate. and the only way that sri lanka is even going to have a chance against australia is by cheating. ie bowling that chucker. if ausralia can overcome the sri lankas cheating ways there schould be no problem

And if you could spell we would have some idea of what you were talking about.
