Oh and Kuldeep one of the most promising young spinners who plays at Edan Gardens did not get a game all competition, but Azhar bloody Mahmood does. Astonishing, people are paid biog money to come up with these decisions.

True, to be fair quite a few games they have messed up. I have been very harsh on Mahmood and you could say, maybe to harsh and to be fair it was only one game he was largely responsible for losing, it just felt all this season they were nearly always relying on the lower order to get the job done, not enough from the Indian contingent at the top sadly. The Narine issue obviously hurt as well.

KKR just became one trick ponies from around 2013... So so reliant on Narine and the opening pair and now basically a spinning track.... You can argue CSK are similar but they find guys who can take up the mantle coz this season their output from their Indian batsmen have been almost ridiculously miniscule and yet they are topping the league again.


Also, I always considered this should be tried: given that the teams play home and away, the league topper should get a trophy and the playoffs should be for a separate trophy.. ,Thoughts?

Obviously a lot of upside to it, one of crickets super powers and will be paid loads.

But would he not be rather stick with Chennai?

Probably making massive money with them, seems to be loved their and only a few months work in the year.

Yeah suits him perfectly, never been interested in other roles as he has a young family and he has obviously spent a lot of his life and time involved with the sport, captain at 23 and all that. Pretty sure we have first dibs on him though :-)

So glad Sunrisers got murdered after not releasing Williamson or even giving him a far go. They could have released Boult also as they didn't play him for the last few games, now our best batsman and bowler have to practically get off the plane and head straight to Lords. On the opposite side Mumbai released Anderson and he got a day in the field. The cricket gods prevailed.

Probably scored a slightly less runs than Henriques at a much slower pace? And not been as useful as a bowler?

They should have just sent KW home when it became clear he wasn't in their top 4 international players.
