I feel like with Ryder it needed to be sorted out years ago. The damage was already done by the time McHesson came to power so you can't really pin that on them.

Yeah, from all accounts Jesse is a lovely guy, but is fed up with the **** he cops from the media when he so much as breathes the wrong way.
I can only assume this is sarcasm. What right does he have to be fed up? He's treated NZ cricket and fans like ****. Like NZ cricket is just a big joke for him to play when he feels like it, when anyone else would give anything to play cricket for their country.

Personal addiction, depression or whatever it was, the fact remains he continued to *** all over those who stood up for him and believed in him.

Seems perfectly happy to be right amongst the media when it comes to his boxing publicity, heard him interviewed twice in the last 3 weeks. You'd think if media bothered him that much, he'd be laying low.

Disagree. Ryder's been in and out so often it's like watching a live action hokey cokey. It hardly makes it clear to the employee where the expected line is. They may have things right now, but it was achieved the hard way and it could perhaps be thought that the fact they've been unable to get anything out of a talent like Ryder is to the detriment of the team and thus the opposite of what you're saying.

The case of Ryder finds itself in the netherregions between tick and cross. The perineum of decision making.
The line has been 100% clear. They tried to get Ryder back.
He screwed himself and the team by drinking before a Test. Bracewell did everything they asked and got back into the side. Ryder turned down a tour and screwed himself over again.

I agree that there's been some screwing over before Hesson's tenure but since he's taken over it's been pretty darn clear.
