***Official*** India and England in Australia ODI Tri-Series 2015

If Maxwell plays an ATG knock in a WC final he can be put in the same ball park as Mahela.

If Tharanga and Sanga weren't wimps SL could have won that final.
More like if Kula didn't drop Gambhir and Murali wasn't injured. SL had enough runs.

Possibly, but India's MVP for the tournament didn't even need to bat. SL misread the pitch.

SL also completely turned over their team for the final compared to the team which played the rest of the tournament.

Panic stations. They were so frazzled.

The first 15 overs really did Sri Lanka in imo, India's exceptional fielding and Zak's toying with Tharanga put SL on the backfoot, it was a 300+ pitch tbh.

Yep definitely agree. The ease with which SL scored runs in the last 20 showed that.

Tharanga was lol.

There's a lot of conspiracy theories about the selection - definitely politics involved. Made no sense some of the changes

Yuvi was great but he is kinda a Murali bunny. Not saying that getting Gambhir before the 20th over would've won SL the match considering India's batting strength, but they were rebuilding and it was a crucial drop.

SL have always found it hard to win in India, it might've been a 300 pitch for India, but for SL it's hard to expect that. They rely more on the reasonable total + squeeze. Mahela played a great innings for them to post that total too. Everything went to script (Sachin + Sehwag out before first 10, 275 total to defend), till Kula dropped Gambhir. It wasn't his last time dropping a WC either. A more obvious drop that resulted in loss was Samuels in the 2012 T20 Final.. He won them the match single-handedly after that.
