Pragyan Ojha banned from bowling

They've slid this quietly under the radar after making a big song and dance about Ajmal, Narine and others...meanwhile india have Jadeja....so perhaps Ojha was dispensable? :D
If by slid this quietly under the radar you mean "identified the issue and removed him from the national side to start his remedial work sooner" then yes you're right.

As you've been told before (but keep choosing to ignore), India, Australia and England take action sooner on dodgy actions so they're not going to have players get to national colours and reported.

Must admit I'm a little surprised at this. Haven't seen him bowl for some time, but had him fairly low on the chuckers' list.

Kudos to the Indian boards for the pre-emptive spring clean tho, but.

The fact that they've done it so close to the World Cup (limiting chances of remediation before it) also shows that there weren't bad intentions from the BCCI

Whatever it takes!!!
I just think that the whole thing with the elbow flex has gone to ridiculous levels. Earlier people were called because their action "looked" bad and then they scientifically test it all out and find out that just about every bowler going around is flexing it to some degree and come up with a number that is apparently decent enough to be noticed by the human eye if it is exceeded. But for a number of years now, people have just taken advantage of the fact that no bowler will ever be reported and have his action checked out after everything that happened with Murali and Akhtar etc. Now finally they are getting things checked out and seems there were blokes bowling with 30 degrees flex etc... Hard to imagine how we went from that extreme to this, tbh...

It's a good thing though, probably the best thing that's happened in cricket this year after Ishant Sharma bounced England out.

Ishant bouncing England was probably good for all teams bar India. It means India are stuck with Ishant for the next 5 years :p.

Is there any other spearhead whose led their bowling attack for more than 60 test matches and averages close to 40?
