Battle of the Michael Clarke Epics

Furball

Evil Scotsman
The 151 was incredible because there were literally 2 different games being played. Every other Australian batsman really struggled, and aside from being repeatedly hit at the start of his innings by Dale Steyn, Clarke looked like he was having a net against park cricketers.

His innings at Galle on a dustbowl (60 or 70 odd from memory) where he smashed the bowling has passed under the radar as well, that was a quality knock.

Cricketer Of The Year
In an era where sentiment takes precedent over substance, this latest knock will probably rank higher in any highlights package of his career.

But it's reassuring to know most people on here will back in the 151, which was just the most insanely skilled, gutsy, determined innings you'd ever imagine on a fizzy deck against a red-hot bowling line-up. People don't play innings' like that any more.

I've always been a fan of the guy, but I can't think of a cricketer - maybe even a sportsman - who has turned his public perception around like Clarke has.
