It is a hard thing mostly, but I'm pretty sure Virat Kohli will be around.

The rest, though...
1. ? KL Rahul/ S. Dhawan
2. A. Rahane/ R. Sharma
3. V. Kohli
4. S. Raina
5. A. Rahane/ R. Sharma/ ?Karun Nair*
6. ?R. Uthappa/ D. Karthick
7. R. Jadeja/ S. Gopal
8. R. Ashwin
9. B. Kumar
10. V. Aaron/ U. Yadav/ M. Sharma
11. Md. Shami
*Nair's Ranji final exploits will most certainly not go unnoticed and if he can continue even half of his current form, Number 5 is his to lose!
I really pity the bowling resources India has. They'd have to really scrape the bottom of the barrel to find a worthwhile attack to take to England!

Don't worry, England have to scrape the bottom of the barrel to find a worthwhile attack to take to England too ;)

Our current WC squad (Australia) who will be over 30 in 2019 (not including Haddin as he will be in his 40s and definitely discounted.
Warner
Finch
Smith
Clarke
Bailey
Watson
Maxwell
Johnson
Doherty

That is NINE players. Players I do not see going to England are Bailey, Doherty, Clarke and Johnson. Put a very big question mark on Watson there too.
Bar big form changes the others will be at an age where they can still continue.

ODI:
Warner
Finch
Smith
Handscomb
Maxwell
M. Marsh
Faulkner
Whiteman (+)
Starc
Cummins
Lyon

Test:
Warner
Burns
Smith
Lynn
Clarke
M. Marsh
Nevill (+)
Starc
Pattinson
Lyon
Hazlewood

Question: Who has not peaked in the Australian lineup yet in the batting department? And what about the bowling? At the extreme least Watson will not play three forms I am predicting. At 38, I don't see him having the fitness, and therefore longevity, to go on. Of course he could still be around, but that is a question mark. I just do not know.
I simply feel the selectors will make some hard decisions (depending on the context) and there will without question be some changes to our lineup(s) in four years time. Some I feel will simply be past it, or don't have the fitness to go on at all levels.

Question: Who has not peaked in the Australian lineup yet in the batting department?
Warner - getting better
Finch - possibly peaked
Smith - getting better
Clarke- peaked
Maxwell - peaked or will peak soon
MMarsh - getting better
Watson - most random curve. high one day, low the next
Faulkner- improving, but slowly
Haddin - improving, but look like close to peaking

Cheers to Pratters..

Blocky to be peeved.

Would think that's a batsman short.

I reckon Sodhi has much more potential as a limited overs player than a Test player. I think Blocky would agree too.

Anderson/Neesham to be legitimate batsmen by that point IMO. Santner to also be some quality icing.
More wondering if only one specialist batsman on the bench is one too few given Anderson and Neesham can bowl (especially Anderson). I do agree that they'll be legit batsmen by that point.

I reckon Santner has more potential as cake; would probably come in at 6 if they lost earlyish wickets. It'd be a good balance to have.

Santner can do whatever the **** he wants. Should open and be a cake with icing potential IMO #KiwiAnsari

Santner's batting strongly reminds me of someone obvious but I can't put my finger on it.

It's arguably a batsman short Morgie but it's the same balance our squad has now and by then Sodhi could well be a proper allrounder in his own right capable of batting at #7. I don't know if you've seen him bat much but he's surprisingly cake-ish technique and output wise for someone meant to be a bowler.

India might be in with quite a decent chance in 2019. They've got good swing bowlers like Bhuvi and Mohit and their batsmen will have had quite a lot of experience in English conditions.
