If you say "Vanuatu" really fast, it kind of sounds like "One or two".

That's all I really have to contribute to this thread.

The peculiarities of Indian-English. This is not a thing in any other dialect (no hate, just saying). Another good one is ear=year.

Cricketer Of The Year
I realise this isn't the right thread for this, but this is (kinda) in regards to some emerging players.

It was really good to see Khawaja & Holland feature strongly for Aus A in the match against India A.

Blessing Muzarabani signed for Northants this week. Sikandar Raza didn't get a central contract and let his disappointment be known and is looking for a Kolpak deal.

Cremer out of the SA series due to surgery.

Bleak for Zim.

Today is the start of the 2018 Men's East Asia Cup!

For those unfamiliar, the East Asia Cup is a quadrangular series played between China, Korea, Japan and the Hong Kong Dragons - an team consisting of the best ethnically Chinese players in HK.

Born with the intention of developing the sport in the region, as well as building strong relationships between the cricket boards, it has been contested for 4 years now. Each year they alternate between Men and Women's tournaments, with each country taking turns to host it. A brief history of this tournament can be found on the CHK website, as well as the scheduled for this year's tournament:

Game 1 is set to take place soon - China playing South Korea. Live ball by ball commentary can be found on Cricinfo, and the CHK Facebook and Twitter pages will provide regular photos and updates:

The Cricinfo score is lagging - the HKCricket twitter is providing fast score updates. Tight start from Korea here, bowling really well it seems.

Really impressive performance from Korea first up - bowled well, fielded well, and batted really well. They are the team to beat IMO. Best story of the tournament too - they've lost basically all their funding, and the players are paying out of their own pocket to take part here. Have to love that commitment.

Japan vs CHK Dragons should be of a higher standard. Excited to see how these two teams fare.

Japan have a 15 year old in their playing XI today - youngest ever player to represent Japan at Cricket. Plus the former pro baseballer player. Interesting team. Have started well with the bat here against the Dragons. Putting away the bad balls.

CricHQ needs premium to see anything besides the score unfortunately.

Cricinfo has refreshed for now.
