Kusal Perera needs more exposure, to taste success.Not just talent would make you world class.Commitment plays a vital role.Kushal needs to be given a long run in ODIs along with Dilshan.Dickwella,Udara Jayasundara too needs to be tested.Apart from batting,Chameera and Gamage has raw pace.Going to be vital how we are using them in the long run.Best option is to start a rotation policy,exactly like Australia.

Oh dear.

33 runs to win,7 overs left, 8 wickets in hand and Pakistan still lose?

Dismal efforst from Amin and Nasim at the end, if this was a proper international, people would be screaming fixing, but as its not, its just total and utter incompetence.


Perera went big again for Lanka and from their viewpoint its a fine effort to win after the Pakistan top order seemingly had the match under control.

I going to be in Sri Lanka in late Dec/Jan. Any quality cricket on at that time? Going to Colombo, Kandy and Galle.

Think the national team will be in NZ, and the domestic stuff will be one day matches all around Colombo, wouldn't necessarily call that quality cricket tbh

The A team lost the last match of the series, but it looked as though the selectors tried a few things, the left arm Chinaman bowler Lakshan Sandakan picked up a couple of wickets and Kusal Perera was in the runs again, he might get another look in at the top of the order for the national side on that form, suppose Thirimanne will move down to 3 to replace Sangakarra, jesus, still find that hard to believe

So is it a one day comp like Ryobi now with everyone in place? Might be ok to check out for an afternoon. Would have loved a game at Galle though.

Yeah it's a two group competition that runs for about 2 months iirc but it's all exclusively based in Colombo

Cool. So there'll be something around new year eh. At only the major grounds or more around the place like here?

We're staying just a couple of ks away from SSC, so if there's something on there that would be a winner.

Yeah one the clubs is based at the SSC so there should be something there for sure, it's mainly played on club grounds around Colombo though, domestic cricket in Sri Lanka is essentially just Colombo club cricket that got first class status when Sri Lanka became a test nation.

It's List A, but it's different to most countries where domestic cricket is played between provinces and such

Was wondering how Manzoor had such good numbers in the A games against Sri Lanka.

Tharindu Kaushal continues to stand up in domestic and A team cricket, seriously every time I look up a scorecard this guy is taking wickets, looks like he had some control too this time as he took 6/120 odd in about 40 overs, he could very easily (and should) find himself in the national team this home summer alongside Herath and I'm keen, a replacement for Herath needs to come along real quick
