I dunno how beating the incumbent number 1 on their home turf can mean anything other than number 1 status, tbh.

I suppose it's unlikely that Aus will travel so well, but SA drew a series with Pakistan too so it's not like they're legendary away from home anymore.
Still fared much better than Australia in their last venture to the SC. Both teams travel to Asia (UAE whatever) this winter so we'll get a clearer picture of who deserves to be no 1 soon enough, but yeah, beating SA in their backyard is pretty convincing

Nah youre talking fluff. Until proven otherwise, Australia is number 1 and the best side right now. Not really sure who else could be

England won a series last time they were in Asia so doing well there is clearly meaningless.
