He probably meant 'compared to everyone else'. The bowling at the Oval is amongst the worst I've ever seen.

What are the chances of Ishant imitating Johnson?

About as likely as a lottery win without a lottery.

Don't understand why Ishant has turned out to be such a flop... Seemed like he had everything in his natural physique

For how long are we going to say this? Another 10 years? We should just drop him and forget about him.. I keep telling this at the start of every series, but it never happens..

I remember when he dismissed Ponting roughly 5 years ago in Aussie - and the Indian press were eager to hear anyone tell them that he was the real deal. They pressed Ricky for his opinion and Ricky gave him the highest possible compliment an Aussie will give "yeah, he is good".

Ishant only needs to deliver once in order to retain his spot for the next few years.

This will continue until there is a change at the top.

I don't think he has any potential and even if he did, no coach could ever draw that out. He is the Indian Mohammad Sami.

Well have Ashwin at 6 and Dhoni at 7 then if that matters. Rohit at 5 (or anywhere for that matter)- in any conditions where he can't take his left foot out and hit 65m sixes-is a total liability. Anderson will have him for breakfast, lunch and dinner and Rohit will say something stupid like ''come to India'' and probably end up getting owned there as well.

As HB said, having Ishant Sharma in a test match in England is suicide. Having him as part of a four man attack( that includes a limited overs spinner and a new ball specialist) is....I don't have a word that fits

As the others have mentioned, having Umesh would have been nice. But maybe there is more to it than meets the eye. I would have loved to have one of Mishra and Ojha as the sole spinner too.

From the squad, the best bowling line up is probably Ashwin-Pandey-Shami-Pankaj.

Oh yeah, and whomever picked Binny needs to die. Now. Right this second. In the pool of their own vomit. Actually make that Binny's vomit, the same vomit which he is gonna spew whenever given a chance in England.
