This rammel is pretty disappointing. Pretty sure people would be slagging of the ground and county for that if it weren't in London.

Norwood's on Fire
My mate just sent me a video of Boycott's commentary on C5 highlights of Gambhir's dismissal. Outstanding

I only could watch from the beginning of the second session but the 82 was an incredible knock really. If Kohli or WIlliamson played the first innings knocks that Dhoni has played over the last two tests people would be going absolutely nuts about how it is a tryst with greatness and the beginning of a legacy etc.

Good to see Woakes and Broad among the wickets. Can't think of two more likable bowlers in the same team.

Also, **** this ****.

Yeah Dhoni has been terrific to be fair. Think comparing a 33 year old to two young players is a bit unfair though.

To be honest, it was more of a point about how our inherent biases about batsmen hinder us from rating their individual innings accurately. Whenever Sachin scores against good bowling with his beautiful drives and backfoot punches it becomes a sensational innings but apparently due to Dhoni's technique which is unaesthetic for moving tracks the best he can ever do regardless of context/quality of bowling is to play a 'street-fighting knock'.

To be honest this Indian test team is far more worse than the one in the 1990s.

The team peaked in the year 2010, they might haven't possessed the ability to win consistently overseas but still had a superb opener in Sehwag and a real bowling leader in Zaheer Khan. The senior middle order were very stable and got many runs too.

Too bad it's been a major fall from 2011 onwards.

International Debutant
This team isn't the same one from 2010. Bar Ishant and Dhoni none of them played last time out here. Or in most cases had even debuted.

Just think the Indian top 6 vs Broad and Jimmy are like the English against Johnson. Mentally believe they can't play them when the ball does anything bar go straight and from there you are never going to win.
