Rang up CA and they said Aussie Internationals are replaced in Big Bash sides when called up,doesn't give them much time to sign someone up.

States usually have guys they know they'll sign in that case though, usually who already play in that state, and have them train with them if they can etc. Not the hardest thing to manage.

Yeh but they can't officially sign them during the trading process.
They can promise to sign them when, they announce the signing once the international called up,but not official during trading season which ends in November. Its the same when a player gets injured someone is anonymously announced.

You can have 2 reserves a community player and a ethnic player eg aborignial.
But they can't officially assign a replacement till when a player is called up,just like the case as in injury.
They can promise a contract but if they sign a player in the trading season then they are in contempt of BBL rules.

It's honestly amazing that it took them 3 Big Bashes to make this insanely obvious rule change
