Steve Waugh brought on himself and Brednon Julian whenever Lara and Hooper came to bat IIRC. Lara and hooper were tonking Warne around. With their massive egos they tried to blast Waugh and Julian out of the attack and lost the wickets cheaply fw tims.
Yeah Hooper was in crazy form coming into that series. He'd dominated the ODIs iirc. Waugh seemed to have the wood on him a bit like you said.

Martin Crowe was a handy medium pacer in his youth, and got rid of Gower in this match. If it wasn't for back and knee injuries he probably would've taken 50+ test wickets.
Yup, in those early days (pre-1988), he could actually get it through when he bent his back (before it was shot). As a young kid I seem to recall him dismissing Larry Gomes with a cracking bouncer edged to gully in 1987/88.

Boycott got Graeme Pollock in this match.
Sachin picked up Adam Gilchrist, Mohammed Yousuf, Matthew Hayden, Kevin Pietersen, Jacques Kallis, Steve Waugh and Mark Taylor
KP got the wickets of Graeme Smith, Michael Clarke and MS Dhoni.
Gooch took the wickets of Mark Taylor, Sunil Gavaskar, Ian Chappell, Michael Slater and David Boon.
Javed Miandad got Allan Border, Greg Chappell and Richard Hadlee out.
Gordon Greenidge's lone ODi wicket was David 'Bumble' Lloyd.
Ian Bell's lone Test wicket is Mohammed Yousuf.

In the 1979 World Cup Semi-Final Geoff Boycott dismissed Geoff Howarth. It might be stretching the word "great" to describe Geoff Howarth thus, but he was the form man and it was the most vital wicket at the time. I remember Glenn Turner came in down the order for some reason I can't recall.

Kolkata 2001 when Sachin got Hayden, Gilly and Warne in the 2nd innings. Highlight of the match

Mark Waugh got Haynes, Richardson, and Viv in a single innings in 1991. Also dismissed Ten Dollar Carl and VVS at Mumbai 2001
