Farokh Engineer was an aggressive batsman who would probably go OK as an opener in either LO format. Your bigger problem Monk is working out your No.3 spot as you have a number of attacking batsman well suited to first drop.

I think that your team needs an experienced ODI batsman in the middle-order to hold everything together, and act a 'finisher' if need be. Jones would perform that role better than Chappell I think. Chappell had a similar average but better SR than Jones at No.3. So Chappell at No.3 IMO.
