Just so you know, Jarvis is merde in OD cricket. He's definitely quick and accurate enough to be decent if he decided to go back of a length, but it's just drives all day long when he gets the white pill in his hand; he over-attacks in a huge way. Maybe Chapple as coach could help rectify that a bit, especially playing for a team that wasn't so reliant on him picking up wickets, but I wouldn't expect much from him in the shorter formats early on.

How long is Chapple going to play? He may be tempted by the 1,000 wickets which would certainly mean playing on next season.

If we have saved ourselves Moores' salary, and got some compo from the ECB, presumably we can afford an overseas player now?

What's Hashim Amla up to between now and the end of September?

Away teams always seem to bowl first when winning the toss at Chester le street and lose. Durham on the other hand bat when they win the toss.

Wonder if visiting teams should actually look at Durham batting first and bat first themselves. CLS tends to start with uneven bounce and get worse.

Prince gets a first baller and we still haven't fallen apart - can't help but feel the collapse is just a few overs away though

Don't expect any play in the southern counties today - it's been horrible.

They made a start at Cardiff but it seems Gloucester's Payne will be sitting on his hat-trick ball for a while.

Didn't make it FF.

Not saying i'd pick him but Woakes getting a Michelle in front of the new England coach is good timing.

Ballance tons up for Yorkshire.

Reckon that puts him in the England team for Sri Lanka at least, hopefully Williamson finds some form while Ballance is away though.
