Is Dale Steyn finished?

Terminal decline. Time to retire before the selectors give him the nudge. Should retire after the first innings and refuse to bowl in the second.

Should retire alongside Kallis before he embarrasses himself and just start focusing on the world cup as well

There was a bizarre Cricinfo video saying that Steyn has slowed down too much now and then they showed, as evidence, a graphic of Mitchell Johnson's average speed at 91mph and slow Steyn trailing at a medium paced 88mph - really odd.

Steyn in this series has bowled more quickly more consistently than I've seen in a while. Trouble is he's been frustrated, banging the ball in the pitch with less thought towards accuracy/plan.

I will back Steyn until he gets hit for 28 runs in one over off a non-test class batsman like George Bailey.

Now that Steyn has managed to get a wicket or two, It means that he is an automatic selection into the South African team for the second innings. He's just another Ishant Sharma in the making.
