Most runs by a NZer in a calendar year?

jonbrooks

International Debutant
Looking through statsguru I see Martin Crowe has 820 in a calendar year. Is this the most by a NZer? Taylor got 819 a couple of years ago.

Taylor's currently on 733 for the year. He has potentially 3 more innings to break Crowe's record of 820. I think he could do it. The question is can he get 267 and become the first NZer to achieve 1000 runs in a calendar year?

I hope I haven't jinxed him! :-(

Definitely doable, another big hundred in the next three innings and he will be most of the way there

Camel toe opening his innings in an aggressive manner with a great big heave. Crude but may prove effective.

NZ cricket (and NZ in general) oozes mediocrity so I wouldn't get your hopes up.
Probably 2 of the best-performed pace bowlers in the world in the past couple of years, the worlds premier wicket-keeper batsman and a couple of decent batsmen…Not that mediocre tbh.

I liked the "and new zealand in general" jab just to get under the skin. 9 out of ten to the troll.
