Probably a thread for this somewhere but couldn't find it

Anyway, I was amazed to hear that there will be another Ashes series in England in 2015 making 15 tests between the countries in 2 years

Furthermore, England will be In Australia again next summer for an odi series

Talk about killing the goose

In more BS, SA still cant crack it for 5 test series against either Oz or England whilst NZ continue to be treated like ****

There is probably more rubbish involving other countries but haven't gone through them all

Maybe South Africa shouldn't have gone back on the agreement they signed with the ECB in 2008 then.

Still far too much 50-over and not enough T20 cricket. That needs to be swapped, as opposed to 50-over getting eliminated however.

Just had a look and after the next world cup England are scheduled to play 17 tests in the 12 months that follow and will then have a 7 test English summer after that presumably. Madness.

3 tests v WI away
2 tests, 5 odi's and 1 T20 v NZ home
5 tests, 5 odi's and 1 T20 v Australia home
3 tests, 5 odi's and 1 T20 v Pakistan away
4 tests, 5 odi's and 2 T20's v SA away.

Whoever agreed to that schedule is a braindead fool.

Australia have 18 tests and 20 odi's according to the FTP
WI have 15 tests and 14 odi's
SA 12 tests and 20 odi's
India 11 tests and 22 odi's
NZ 15 tests and 13 odi's

Some of the players will be dead on their feet after that.

Time to just start an ICC Test league - but that won't happen until ICC has more money than BCCI or ECB.

The Test schedule isn't the problem - it's the plethora of 5 match ODI series and T20 leagues that's the killer.

17 Tests + perhaps another 7 Tests in less than 18 months after the world cup is not a problem? haha

Hardly any fast bowler is going to make it through that sort of workload (not even taking into account limited overs stuff here). The English bowlers already look knackered despite having played less cricket in the last 18 months compared to what's in store from 2015 onwards.

That Ashes series should've been scheduled for 2016

Future tour program is very important for both countries. Because it promotes the relation and experience of game.

Ridiculous England schedule. We will have to rest players, which is a disgrace because you should never do it in Tests (apart from the Deshi's). Guessing Pakistan away we can rotate and rest pace bowlers and go two spinners at least.

Always good to see Sri Lanka racking up the test matches, not.

fmd, the careers of Sanga/Mahela/Herath are just gonna fizzle out slowly without them getting much of a chance to cash in on some late career form. What I particularly hate is how often they are playing 2 test series'

The counter argument is that by having less cricket and more downtime, they are able to maintain their form for longer.

good, it was only ever another stupid way to get Australia, India and England playing each other again IMO

Disappointing that NZ is not playing Australia in the near future, a home series could be pretty exciting.

Should be looking to not be humiliated against India, win or draw in WI, try not to be inept in the UAE against Pakistan, and then thrash SL home and away.

Hopefully Roach et al are bowling really well in the West Indies and Junaid maintains his form because there's not too much pace bowling to be facing. We need the young guys to be facing quality pace bowling. Williamson's already a decent player against spin but comes unstuck against anyone above 140.
